Worship in Iringa post is a reminder to travellers about one of the key areas in a believer’s journey. As a traveller in another region, town or country, you want to enjoy the best the place has to offer, yet, be anchored in worship and fellowship with other believers. Be it you are travelling for a week or months, it might be easy to overlook the importance the consistency in fellowship. This makes most travellers exhausted, weary and sometimes drawn back after the summer holidays.
Why a place of Worship in Iringa when travelling?
Finding a place of worship when planning a journey, is as important and more to booking flights, and hotels with the best deals at the earliest. Keep connecting. Here I am, hoping that, if you ever visit Iringa, you will be able to join fellow believers in service and attendance; in word and communion, making the trip the best there is. With God and faith, surprises, miracles and blessings are a norm. You be that surprise, miracle and blessing to many people you will closely connect to, during these holidays and volunteer endeavours.
Why gather continuously in a place of worship?
As believers, the Church and vessels and parts of the Body of Christ, we depend on each other to be, become and grow. Ad these is why gatherings are still and will always be important on earth until the day Christ comes. Here are several Bible verses that speak about gathering, meetings, and fellowship among believers:
(a) Believers must continue to meet and support one another in faith.
- Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
(b) God is present when believers gather in His name, and there is power in gatherings.
The power of unity, obedience, and faith brought together. Like light, one candlelight can shine in the dark but, a dozen of them do a better job together.
- Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
(c) The early church devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, and communal activities.
Also, they encouraged and supported one another in the community of believers. In addition, it is pleasant to live together in obedience to Christ, we build each other in faith, learning from each other in fellowship (edification of the church).
- Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
- 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
- Psalm 133:1 “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!”
- 1 Corinthians 14:26 “What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.”
- Acts 20:7 “On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.”
- Romans 12:4-5 “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

These places include the Catholic Cathedrals, Lutheran Churches, Moravian churches, and many other Pentecostal Churches across the town. For travellers and international volunteers, the best place will be the ICF Church, located in the town centre just a minute from the Iringa Clock Tower behind the Neema Craft Building, the most visited place in Iringa.

ICF is the non-denominational, interdenominational international Church for people who believe in Christ, live for Christ and the Kingdom of God on earth or wish to learn more about Christianity. This place speaks love above all other things, family and relationship with Jesus and fellow men. As an international place of worship, you will surely feel at home and be able to connect with others while walking the journey of faith and sharing life for the time that you will be in Iringa, Tanzania.
The best part of this house serves a community of English-speaking believers from many different walks of life. And the unique strength lies in not having a pastor, which forces the diverse members to contribute to all aspects of church life. There are elders at the Church who oversee different activities as needed. So, each member is given a platform to serve and worship in different areas.
Service, Gatherings (Meetings) at the ICF
The Church has meetings at the Church building during the 1st and 3rd Weeks of each month. For instance, for October, the services are on the 6th (first) and 20th (third). In the coming month of November, the gatherings will be on the 3rd and 17th days. So, if you happen to be in Iringa in those days, care to join us for a glorious, godly experience. It will be a blessing to have you there, learning together, and worshipping together.
There are different activities planned and organized throughout the month including weekend gateways and other fun fellowship and connecting activities. In addition, there are Group Bible Studies, sleepovers etc, planned by different members to come together, worship, study the Word, share and grow together. It is just amazing thinking bout that! It is a place to experience the Father’s love, and presence and live, growing in a Kingdom, life with others. So, Come!
Revelation 22:17
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come!’ Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.”
