Imagine a fire, constantly fed with logs, day in and day out. Morning, noon, evening, and night, it burns. Anyone in need, whether for warmth or to cook, knows they can rely on that fire. Anyone lost in the middle of the wilderness sees the light and knows where to go for shelter and safety. They know they can show up at any time and find it ablaze. And that’s how my previous post went.
What do you think about when someone says, the world is all going mad? The church, the people we meet, even at the Church, are the people who hurt us deeply. The people we live with are the ones who offend us daily. The people we call friends, family, and neighbours are not as so we describe them. And most of the time, we find ourselves as a believer speaking or complaining about a fellow believer to a non-believer. Then we wonder why they don’t hear a word when we share the gospel, the Good News about Salvation.
Still, He is the Only LORD: the Way, the Truth and the Life
Well, there is a lot in this journey, but Christ is STILL the ONLY Truth, Way and Life (John 14:6).
And because of that, live responsibly, because it is not about our feelings but about being. I believe I am writing this message to the believer who knows and understands fully that the price of sin is death (Romans 6:23), yet because of Jesus, we are saved (Ephesians 2:8-9). Not because the price has changed or no longer applies. But because He died, the price was paid fully once and for all. And so once you believe and choose His Lordship, you ought to live as He leads. Because now, it is not about you. When the price is required, He shields you over. And walking with Him in obedience is key to life in salvation.
The Call to Burn, to Faith and Standing
Despite everything, the Lord calls for the fire to keep burning. Yes, despite the hurt, opposition, persecution, and offences, the Lord still asks if He will find faith alive when He comes again. “Nevertheless, when the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8).
How can one keep the faith when the Lord comes?
By keeping the fire burning on the altar.
Well, an altar. As a believer, a saved one, we all have an altar, connected to the one God (Hebrews 13:10) in Christ Jesus. Because, since His death, sacrifice, we became the temples. We are the temples. We are burning for Him alone.
The Altar
In Leviticus 6:12-13, the Lord commands the Priests:
“The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out… The fire shall be burning continually on the altar; it shall not go out.”
Instructions on the Altar
Exodus 27:1-8 gives detailed instructions for the altar’s construction: “You shall make the altar of acacia wood… You shall make its horns on its four corners… And you shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.”
From the Altar to the Armour
This altar fire represents our constant connection to God – the same fire that now burns within us through the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:3-4). Just as the priests tended the altar day and night, we must tend our spiritual fire while wearing God’s full armour (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Ephesians 6:11-18). The altar was where sacrifices were made, and we are now living sacrifices (Romans 12:1), protected by divine armour as we minister before the Lord.
The Full Armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)
- Belt of Truth – “Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth” (v.14)
- Breastplate of Righteousness – “having put on the breastplate of righteousness” (v.14)
- Shoes of the Gospel – “having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace” (v.15)
- Shield of Faith – “above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one” (v.16)
- Helmet of Salvation – “And take the helmet of salvation” (v.17)
- Sword of the Spirit – “and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (v.17)
But after all this – “STAND!” (v.13). The armour isn’t for attacking – it’s for standing firm in the victory Christ already won (1 Corinthians 15:57).
Because moving, having your being and living in Christ with the understanding of the Word, the TRUTH, Righteousness. Living daily, choosing His leading in this Salvation Journey, Faith and sharing this Good News to all. In itself, a battle only those who live in Christ, surrendered to the Spirit of God, can stand. Because the enemy will surely attack once the decision is made.
With everything,
V18; And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people

Why the Devil Fights So Hard (1 Peter 5:8)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” He was once before God’s throne (Ezekiel 28:14), but pride threw him down (Isaiah 14:12-15). He was about trying and manipulating all these angels who served God, and because of that rebellion, a third was out. Yes, he came for Adam, same rebellion business, Adam’s out.
With Jesus’ death, here we are back to the position. And now he sees us, we were sinners but now – redeemed – seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6)! Victorious. And so yes, the battle is ON. Even stronger with the limited time he knows he has. And more so, the Truth being embraced by many and the Spirit of the LORD, even teaching and reaching more. The end is at hand.
He fights so all of us can grow cold, burn out, reveal not the glory of God and His Mighty power and love. Because he wants us all to join him in his eternal torment and punishment. But, with God and Grace, He is waking us daily to know we are here but for a moment. He wants to save us all that we may live to His fullness as He proposed in His heart when He created us.
But remember:
- You carry GOD inside you, He lives in us, the fire (1 Corinthians 6:19)
- Greater is He that is in you (1 John 4:4)
- No weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17)

Keep Your Fire Burning!
How?
- “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God” (Luke 4:4)
- “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
- “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together” (Hebrews 10:25)
- “Always be ready to give a defence… for the hope that is in you” (1 Peter 3:15)
- “True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth” (John 4:23)
The world may be going mad, but YOUR fire must keep burning! When Jesus returns, will He find YOUR altar still on fire? That’s the question we must all answer with our lives!
Will He find you in faith and faithfully standing when He comes?
What if He comes back today, will He?
Something to remember
The devil doesn’t have a place to take us. He just wants us all with him in a pit created for his torment by God. Yes, even Hades, hell was created by God. The devil never made anything. He can imitate, but never can he. Remember, he wanted the heavens once. Why fool around with someone who is angry and raging about so many things? He is an enemy with your name on, the day you were conceived. Stand the vessel you were made to be, Live for Christ in Christ and His glory.
