A Farmer’s Prayer: Cultivating Faith In Agriculture

A Farmer’s Prayer (focus on harvests)

A farmer prays until it rains. The first drop hits the ground after the long dry season. The one drop falling makes the dry soil breathe and all around the sweet smell of life, petrichor. That smell hits you like hope and belief that a better season is coming and yes, it’s already here. A farmer’s prayer.

Prayer is a word with different terms and references. But one that comes fast to mind is communication. Prayer is not only about asking. Prayer is about intention which can also be worship, thanksgiving, praise, honour, and request believing it has already been done.

Like in the gospels books, one said in the heart, one cried out loud, one revered the authority, one in silence as a sinner seeing hope and others as trusting as they could (what could go wrong), they pursued Christ, believing in Him that He can make all well.

2 Kings 7:3 And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

Mark 10:48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Mark 5:27-28, When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

Luke 7:6-8,  “Lord, my servant is at home in such terrible pain that he can’t even move.” “I will go and heal him,” Jesus replied. But the officer said, “Lord, I’m not good enough for you to come into my house. Just give the order, and my servant will get well.

They all prayed.  The power of praying until you see the results focuses on trusting that He answers, for He does. Psalm 34:4, NIV I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

The Praying Power

Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Psalm 91:15, NIV He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honour him.

That’s how our prayer life should be until He answers. While there are many jobs and calling out there requiring faith and trust, being a farmer is a calling. And a farmer’s prayer is how;

You pray until it rains

Pray until the seedlings break the ground

You pray while the young plants are growing

Pray until crops are fully grown

You pray during the harvest

ray for the new farming season Prayers being the foundation,

You keep praying

You pray daily… you live in prayers

And with that faith and hope in spirit and mind you live. You live believing in love and life is flowing like air and the beauty of nature is breathing loudly.

A Farmers Prayer: Final Word

I wish you strong faith, love, hope, understanding,  wisdom, and strength.
I wish you faith above all because, without it, it’s never possible to please God. And you know there is much trust and faith in God. The peace that goes with it is immeasurable and with trust, you stand and your ground is affirmed and anchored
I wish you love secondly because without it it’s never life to live. You need love to stand.
I wish you hope. You need it to dream, trust and become. Never give up on it for the moment you do, you’re dead.
Have more understanding, not to criticize or for arguments. Have the understanding to correct, teach and lead.
And with all these, may you become even wiser. Many will follow and come, you need the ability to speak and be able to communicate with them.
Strength,  I could say, it will be nice to hit the gym now and then. But, what you need before that is Strength to live life, Strength for this journey. Not many have walked on it before, many gave up, and you need the heavens to support you to move.

Stand strong in your being.

And with that faith and hope in spirit and mind you live. You live believing in love and life is flowing like air and the beauty of nature is breathing loudly. My love, my darling. I wish you strong faith, love, hope, understanding,  wisdom, and strength.

Stay well.

Sincerely.
